Through research I have decided that the "Lapis" plant I had was not true and most likely was a poorly performing Blue Topaz. The leaves were identical and often the blooms were as well. It was such a poor bloomer I got rid of it. My Blue Topaz is coming into bloom in the photo above. My plant grew from leaves from Karen's plant. The difference is in the lighting. This picture more accurately shows the deep purple-blue blooms. I now have true Lapis leaves, which are much brighter and more pointed than the Topaz leaves. I hope to grow a true Lapis plant, at which time I will post photos of the plant and blooms. Here is a Blue Topaz in bloom. This one was sent to me in a trade:
