This plant was grown from leaves purchased from a hobby grower. The flowers are gorgeous. Unfortunately the plant died. It was not true to the description, but I loved it anyway.

Here is another Sapphire from a leaf that was sent to me, but unfortunately I lost it, too.

Here is Sapphire that grew from leaves purchased from Optimara. I am confused! It doesn't look like everyone else's Sapphire!!

Here is Sapphire from Optimara on the left and Fluorite on the right, taken with flash near a window.

Sapphire again on the left, Fluorite on the right, under plant lights.

Here is the Sapphire (left) I bought from Selective Gardener, the same one that is blooming at the top of the page. It blooms semi-double more often than single like it should. On the right is my Turquoise in one of it's darker cycles. Sometimes it blooms pale blue-violet and sometimes it blooms darker like Sapphire. I think all the mother plants were in a snit when the descriptions were first written.
