I saw a young Goldfinch feeding on the Blackeye Susans

It stayed there while I went inside to get my camera.

I started shooting and moved closer.

Any time the bird was busy eating I moved forward.

I thought the bird would fly anytime.

But it continued to eat.

These babies were raised in our yard and were not shy.

Amazingly closer.

I am about 4 or 5 feet away here. I am NOT using the telephoto.

I could reach out and touch it. I am sitting on the ground now.

Three feet away.

Two feet.

Too close finally. The bird is out of focus and then he flies.
