Rum Balls

4 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup powdered sugar (plus extra to roll rum balls in)
2 tablespoons white Karo or glucose syrup
1/2 cup rum (or more)
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)

Mix dry ingredients, add syrup and enough rum to moisten so dough holds its shape when rolled into a ball. (if it crumbles, add a little rum, but a little at a time so they don't become too wet)

Roll rum balls in powdered sugar and store in a tightly closed container.

Can you get tipsy on them? Yes! Don't feed to the kids. I'm sure there is some way to make them non-alcohol.
